How many emotions do you experience throughout your day? Emotions are contextual, nuanced, and multifaceted, but one thing remains the same - they amass the "mosaic of memories" that vividly color our lives. Every day, I am plagued by dark thoughts and reminders that I would be better off not existing in this world. In these struggles, I discovered the purest form of life - pain. But remember, there is a journey to overcoming this pain. Once you are introduced to pain, you have two choices, survive it or fall victim to it. My battle has lasted the better part of two decades, and I have worked ceaselessly to hold the demons at bay, preventing them from possessing me to take the "forever nap." The most resolute act I've done was pressing forward, especially in the moments when I wanted to die. There's value in your fight, and there will never be shame in failure.
